WESST is a small business development organization driven by a mandate to develop opportunities for small businesses that help create new jobs and build a strong economic climate in the communities we serve throughout New Mexico.
Headquartered in Albuquerque, our small business development and training network includes regional Enterprise Centers in Rio Rancho, Santa Fe, Las Cruces, Roswell, and Farmington, New Mexico. Each of WESST’s six Enterprise Centers are funded in part by the SBA’s Office of Women’s Business Ownership (OWBO) through its Women’s Business Center (WBC) program. We are the only organization in New Mexico offering long-term, comprehensive business consulting, training, and loans specifically targeted to women entrepreneurs.
While our client base includes economically-disadvantaged women and minorities, WESST provides services to any New Mexico resident interested in launching a new business or expanding an existing one. Our clients have come to us from all walks of life for help with all types of businesses at every stage of development.
Our headquarters, the WESST Enterprise Center in downtown Albuquerque, is a hub for entrepreneurship and small business development in the Albuquerque area and beyond. Opened in 2009, the 37,000-square-foot small business incubator offers state-of-the-art amenities and business assistance programs for its member companies and any New Mexico resident needing guidance or capital to start or grow a business. Backed by the support of our statewide network of Enterprise Centers, WESST is positioned to move to a new level of performance and growth in the coming years.
