Adriana Garcia

Rising Sun is a place where you can come relax and forget about your worries if only for an hour. Professionalism and trust are a must when treating our clients. Rising Sun specialize in pain relief, therapeutic, trigger point, myofascial, and sports massage.

Where did the “big idea” for your business come from? What made you decide to move forward with it?

When I went into massage school I knew I wanted to be an independent therapist. I hit the ground running and had my test, name, business FEIN # and CRS-1 information and building ready to go before I even graduated.

Having a HUGE support system, and having a babysitter to help around the house. I knew that I couldn’t let my family down. It was a new and exciting adventure for us.

What’s the most satisfying part of being an entrepreneur?

Definitely you DON”T get to make your own hours.  I love knowing I have the luxury to help my clients out financially. I can make a decision to not charge, give discounts, or coupons whenever I want and not have someone telling me it’s about the money!!

What do you do when you’re not working?

I love spending time with my kids. I read, take more classes to learn more about my career and how to help my clients more.

Would you do anything differently, if you could start your business over again? If so, what?

Yes, I would have waited to be able to purchase my own building.

What advice do you have for other people who want to start their own business?

Have a business plan…FOLLOW the business plan!! Don’t forget to talk to people who have been in business longer than you and take their advice. Learn to appreciate constructive criticism. Do what you love and the money will follow!!
