Ke’Oanna Espinoza is a young entrepreneur who had a passion project that became a reality. She came to WESST in October 2024 after researching for local help to start her business, Hobbs Hotspots. 

“A lot comes with starting a business, and because I work full-time, I needed support to help me,” says Ke’Oanna.  She needed support to learn the business vocabulary to gain a deeper understanding.  She wanted help to learn the steps to launch her own business and how to properly file taxes. Ke’Oanna “chose WESST because of the ongoing trainings,” attending sessions like Next Steps in Bookkeeping and Creative Ways to Drive Traffic to Your Website. 

Through consultation and training with WESST consultants, Ke’Oanna was able to register her business to receive her tax ID and business number. Hobbs Hotspot launched in October 2024 and is an online directory for both businesses and residents in Hobbs. Ke’Oanna is dedicated to supporting fellow small businesses and to creating a platform that fosters connections and builds relationships between consumers and local businesses. She hopes to make a lasting impact on her community.
