WESST Enterprise Center Announces its Member Companies 2009 Results

Albuquerque, NM | March 30, 2010 – 

The WESST Enterprise Center, a small business incubator in Albuquerque, New Mexico, today announced the aggregate results of its 10 member companies for 2009. The companies produced the following results:

Total Revenue: $5,578,000
Total Payroll: $2,677,000
New jobs created: 55

“We are extremely pleased by the results of our member companies,” said Doug Lee, Managing Director of the WESST Enterprise Center. “The level of success these companies achieved during a down economy is a credit to their focus and dedication to success.”

These companies also received $2,509,000 in equity investment in 2009. “Growth of local companies is the WESST Enterprise Center’s mission,” said WESST Executive Director, Agnes Noonan. “By providing a high quality program of services, the WESST Enterprise Center made a great contribution to our local economy in its first year of operation. We helped the companies to develop markets, gain customers and access capital. That is what business incubation is all about.”

Business incubation is an economic development program where start-up and growth companies are housed in a facility with easy access to the training, consulting and resources necessary for business success.
