Bilingual Business Consultant (Las Cruces)

The Bilingual Business Consultant provides high-quality, culturally competent consulting and training to entrepreneurs and small business owners in New Mexico. This position supports clients at all stages of business development—start-up, growth, and expansion—with an emphasis on financial literacy, market readiness, and access to capital.

​The Consultant ensures services are inclusive and accessible to Spanish- and English-speaking clients, strengthens relationships with community and economic development partners, and supports WESST’s mission of fostering entrepreneurship and economic empowerment across the state. Reports to the Las Cruces Program Director. This position is based in Las Cruces and can be hybrid.

Education Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, entrepreneurship, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.

​WESST is looking for a candidate that:

  • Is bilingual (English/Spanish) and able to deliver high-quality consulting and training in both languages.
  • Has 3–5 years of experience providing small business consulting, financial coaching, or entrepreneurship training.
  • Understands small business operations, marketing, accounting, and loan-readiness.
  • Possesses strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a statewide team.
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms, and digital learning tools.
  • Shares WESST’s values of Opportunity, Collaboration, Community, Innovation, and Accountability.
  • Is willing to travel within New Mexico and occasionally out of state.

​Salary and Key Benefits: Full-time, exempt position offering a salary range of $60,000-$70,000.
