Business Consultant (Albuquerque)
The Business Consultant provides high-quality, culturally competent consulting and training to entrepreneurs and small business owners in New Mexico. This position supports clients at all stages of business development—start-up, growth, and expansion—with an emphasis on financial literacy, market readiness, and access to capital.
The Consultant ensures services are inclusive and accessible, strengthens relationships with community and economic development partners, and supports WESST’s mission of fostering entrepreneurship and economic empowerment across the state. Reports to the Albuquerque Program Director. This position is based in Albuquerque and can be hybrid.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, entrepreneurship, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.

- Has 3–5 years of experience providing small business consulting, financial coaching, or entrepreneurship training.
- Understands small business operations, marketing, accounting, and loan-readiness.
- Possesses strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a statewide team.
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms, and digital learning tools.

Receptionist (Albuquerque)
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for WESST’s Albuquerque Enterprise Center, creating a warm, professional, and welcoming experience for visitors, clients, partners, and building tenants. This role manages front desk operations, supports daily administrative needs, coordinates meeting room bookings and events, and assists with facilities, safety procedures, and communication workflows.
This position plays a key role in supporting accessible client navigation and strengthening the overall functioning of the WESST Enterprise Center. Reports directly to the Facilities Manager. This is an in-person position based in Albuquerque, NM.
Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or related administrative/customer service experience preferred.
WESST is looking for a candidate that:
- Is bilingual English–Spanish (required).
- Has strong customer service skills and enjoys interacting with clients, visitors, and community partners.
- Is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Has proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Publisher, Excel) and related software tools.
- Can maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.

Training Specialist (Albuquerque)
The Training Specialist designs, develops, delivers, and evaluates high-quality training for entrepreneurs, small business owners, and community partners across New Mexico. This role conducts needs assessments, develops culturally responsive curricula, delivers group workshops and one-on-one instructional support, and ensures all training aligns with WESST’s mission of expanding economic opportunity. Reports to the Chief Programs Officer, Regional Manager, or relevant supervisor.
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in education, business, professional development, instructional design, adult learning, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
WESST is looking for a candidate that:
- Has at least 3 years of experience in training, instruction, adult education, business education, or professional development
- Demonstrates strong facilitation and communication skills
- Is able to design, deliver, and evaluate high-quality training for diverse adult learners
- Has experience creating curricula, instructional materials, and multimedia learning tools
- Understands small business operations, entrepreneurship topics, and/or technical or professional skills training
- Possesses strong organizational and time-management skills
- Works both independently and collaboratively as part of a statewide team
- Is proficient with digital learning tools and Microsoft Office Suite

Workflow Coordinator/Manager (Albuquerque)
The Workflow Coordinator/Manager plays a central role in keeping WESST’s Revenue Department running smoothly. This position supports timelines, deliverables, communication, and reporting across several high-impact areas, including:
- WESST Loan Fund
- WESST Business Incubator
- WESST Studios
- Contracted and earned-revenue initiatives
Working closely with the Chief Revenue Officer, this role ensures that projects stay on track, cross-team communication is clear, and systems are efficient, reliable, and aligned with organizational priorities. This position is based in Albuquerque and can be hybrid.

We are hiring for this position across a range of experience levels. Title and compensation will be determined based on qualifications within the following spectrum:
- 1–7+ years of experience in administrative support, project coordination, operations, or project/program management within a nonprofit or similarly complex environment
- Ability to support or lead (depending on experience) project timelines, deliverables, documentation, and cross-team communication
- Experience managing multiple projects, improving workflows, and/or overseeing division-level coordination
- Bachelor’s degree preferred/required based on level; students nearing graduation may be considered for entry-level roles
- Advanced credentials such as a PMP or relevant master’s degree are valued for senior-level candidates
- Spanish language skills are strongly preferred
Salary and Key Benefits: Full-time, exempt position offering a salary range of $55,000–$72,000, commensurate with experience.
