2013 Montezuma Ball Beneficiaries Announced

The Montezuma Ball, one of New Mexico’s oldest traditions, has announced its beneficiaries for this year’s ball, WESST, Animal Humane New Mexico and the New Mexico Multi-Cultural Foundation.

The Montezuma Ball first took place as a social event in 1902 during New Mexico’s Territorial Fair. Revived in 2000 as a fundraising event by Jim Long, CEO of Heritage Hotels and Resorts, the ball has since raised over $1.5 million for local charities.  The theme of this year’s ball is The Year of Turquoise and will be held at the Hotel Albuquerque on Saturday, November 23. Summit Electric is the 2013 corporate sponsor.
