WESST PRESS RELEASES

WESST announced as Ambassador for Bra Recyclers, empowering sustainability, and social impact.

WESST, a longtime advocate for sustainable practices and social responsibility, is proud to announce its partnership with The Bra Recyclers as their first official Ambassador in New Mexico. This collaboration will foster an environment of sustainability and promote social impact through the recycling and repurposing of bras, creating a positive change in the fashion industry and in our community.

As an ambassador, WESST will work closely with The Bra Recyclers to raise awareness about the environmental impact of discarded bras and encourage individuals and organizations to participate in bra recycling programs. WESST will be an official drop-off location, the first in New Mexico, located in downtown Albuquerque. The Bra Recyclers, specializes in collecting and redistributing bras to women in need while reducing waste in landfills. The partnership between WESST and The Bra Recyclers will not only divert bras from landfills but will also provide marginalized and disadvantaged women with access to quality undergarments. . By joining forces, both organizations aim to promote a circular economy, foster sustainability, and support women’s well-being.

“WESST, as a Women’s Business Center, is honored to join hands with The Bra Recyclers in this impactful  work. Through this partnership, we can provide a comprehensive support system for women by supporting their entrepreneurial needs through WESST’s services, while also addressing their basic needs by providing them with bras through The Bra Recyclers. This holistic approach can contribute significantly to women’s empowerment and self-sufficiency.”-Yini Wang, Development Officer.
