WESST PRESS RELEASES

WESST Pop-Up Shop is Back in Downtown Albuquerque

The WESST Pop-up Shop returns after a two-year hiatus thanks to the generous support of PNC Bank! This year’s event will occur outside at 609 Broadway Blvd NE (Broadway and Lomas) on Friday, October 14th, from 11 am – 4 pm and is free and open to the public.

Beginning in 2016, with an emphasis on supporting the existing and emerging community of creative entrepreneurs in Albuquerque, the WESST Pop-up shop has grown from 19 vendors to the expected 30 vendors in 2022.  Vendors will be exhibiting their finest works, including textiles, clothing, jewelry, ceramics, wood, and more!

“WESST is excited to host the 5th annual pop-up shop where you can shop locally and find unique Made in New Mexico products and gifts. When you spend your money in our communities, it benefits us all!” said Lorena Schott, Director of Marketing.

“These types of events are very important for small businesses. Selling in person, where people can see the product really goes along way.” said Agnes Noonan, WESST President.

Pop-up shops are also an excellent opportunity for the vendors to market their business and engage with their customers to better understand what they are responding to. WESST also offers training and consulting for the vendors around things like insurance, selecting a payment system and booth presentation.
