WESST Welcomes New VP of Development

WESST is happy to announce the hiring of Katie Knipe, WESST Vice President of Development.

Katie recently relocated to Albuquerque from Cincinnati, OH with her family to put down roots in the beautiful southwest. Prior to joining WESST Katie worked as Communications Program Director at Heading Home, a New Mexico non-profit that provides emergency housing, permanent supportive housing services and prioritized street outreach to people experiencing homelessness. Prior to moving from Cincinnati, Katie was the Fund Development Director for Over-the-Rhine Community Housing, a community development corporation that develops affordable housing and provides supportive services for low-income residents.

Katie says, “I’m so proud to join the amazing team at WESST and be part of this work supporting the entrepreneurial dreams of thousands of New Mexicans each year. I adore the Albuquerque community and I look forward to getting more involved here in my new home!” In her spare time, Katie plays clarinet in the Albuquerque Concert Band, in existence for over forty years, the band enriches the culture of the Albuquerque community in performance of the great heritage of band music.

We are thrilled to have Katie join the WESST team,” said Agnes Noonan, WESST President. “Katie’s background in the non-profit and development world make her the ideal fit for this role.”
