Daniela first heard about WESST through local entrepreneurs in Las Cruces who had spoken highly of the support they received. She came in for a consultation in June 2024 to get some guidance on how to move her business idea forward and make her LLC more active. At the time, Daniela had already created her business, Blessed to be a Blessing Farms, registered in New Mexico and Texas, and even built her website, but she had yet to make a sale. “I needed direction, and WESST immediately felt like the right place to start.”
One of Daniela’s biggest challenges was having abundant products—fruit, vegetables, and eggs—but not knowing how to actually generate sales or identify the best market. She needed help understanding the financial side of her business. She was looking for guidance, connections, and a clearer direction to generate income.
WESST helped refer Daniela to other local agricultural entrepreneurs who helped her start delivering vegetable boxes. She was encouraged to explore business models to inspire what might work in her area to serve her community. She created a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) box, providing a way for her community to buy and support local produce.
Daniela also followed her consultant’s recommendation to enroll in the Personal Career & Discovery Program and the Financial Literacy Program at the Doña Ana Community College Workforce Development Center. When she completes these programs, she will use the stipend to invest directly into marketing for her farm.
Thanks to WESST, I’m finally moving from planning to consistent outreach and sales. WESST helped me refine my marketing strategy, identify the right customers for my veggie boxes, and create a clearer plan for promoting my products. Their guidance on digital marketing and local partnerships has helped me increase visibility and build real customer interest.
