Nini's Produce, Foods, and Crafts LLC

Updated: Oct 11

Jeannie Benally, owner of Nini’s Produce, Foods, and Crafts LLC, is a farmer living in the rural community of Fruitland, NM. Through training and consulting with our WESST Farmington WBC, she has learned how to profit from her produce by diversifying and expanding her products and actively participating in local markets.

Jeannie sells traditional vegetables and crafts from her produce to sell during the off-season. Roasting and selling local pumpkin seeds has proven to be a fantastic example of repurposing potential waste for the community and her small business.

Her story underscores the power of community and innovation in small business.

She worked with WESST to prepare for her first year of filing taxes as a business owner, achieving profit in 2024, a significant achievement as a small business owner. She has continued to build and expand her skillset, attending trainings like Tax Basics for Beginners to Canva For Your Business 101.  Her journey from growing vegetables as a hobby to becoming profitable is a testament to the hard work of local entrepreneurs, community support, and continuous learning.
