WESST is honored to be the recipient of a grant of $20,000 from The Stocker Foundation, an independent foundation that provides funding to organizations working in the following areas: short-term youth development; social service agencies offering solutions to specific problems, such as literacy, hunger, and homelessness; education; aid to the disabled; self-help programs; theater and the performing arts, and other cultural programs; women’s issues and the strengthening of families. These funds are earmarked specifically to foster entrepreneurship and economic empowerment for residents of Doña Ana County. WESST received the grant monies after satisfying the requirements set forth by The Stocker Foundation. The funds will be used to deliver learning courses to benefit Doña Ana County participants.

In the words of Stocker executive director, Patricia O’Brien, “The trustees and staff of The Stocker Foundation are delighted to support this project and wish you every success.” Thank you, Stocker Foundation!
