WESST Rio Rancho provides services to Sandoval County residents interested in starting or growing a business. We offer consulting and training in a variety of topics including business finances, business technology and strategic business issues. We’re here to provide guidance through all aspects of planning, operating and growing a successful business.
Clients and Services
WESST Rio Rancho utilizes a combination of one-on-one consulting and group training to help our business owners achieve their entrepreneurial goals. We work with businesses in all market sectors including service, technology, retail, manufacturing, and wholesale sectors in any phase of development. Our services are available to all entrepreneurs, with no barriers to entry – our goal is to provide our clients with the tools and education needed to create and grow self-sufficient, successful small businesses in Sandoval County.
We specialize in addressing the unique challenges and goals of business owners in Rio Rancho and Sandoval County, with services that include:

We also specialize in providing consulting services that address the needs of home-based businesses in Sandoval County. Our goal is to provide home-based business owners with an opportunity to step outside of their business and get an objective opinion on any financial, technical or operational issue they may be facing.
Small Business Loans at WESST – Turn your Dream Into a Reality
WESST is a participant in the SBA Microloan Program, and is one of three SBA-approved microlenders in the state of New Mexico. We provide loans ranging from $250 to $10,000 for startup businesses, and up to $50,000 for existing businesses. If our clients need a loan to start or grow their business, WESST Rio Rancho also assists clients with creating their loan package, including cashflow projections, pro-forma financials and breakeven analysis. We can also provide information about various additional loan sources in our community, and can assist clients in developing a loan package for use with another lender.
Women’s Business Center Program
WESST Rio Rancho is one of six statewide offices housing a Women’s Business Center Program (WBC), funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration. The WBC program was founded to foster the growth of woman-owned businesses by providing access to education, training, mentoring, business development and financing opportunities to women throughout the United States and its territories. The Women’s Business Center Program at WESST’s Rio Rancho regional office offers a variety of training and consulting services geared to, but not limited to women.
