Join WESST on #GivingTuesday – December 1, 2020!

By Katie Knipe | November 10, 2020

Small and micro-businesses (those with fewer than 20 employees) are essential components of New Mexico’s economy, representing 83% of all businesses. WESST’s business development services are an important part of the strategy to support economic and workforce development across the state. WESST’s caring and compassionate staff empower the diverse entrepreneurs we serve and help boost their confidence so they can develop the skills they need to build successful small businesses. Your support makes this important work possible!

One of our clients, Marisa Saavedra Gutierrez, owner of Spatial Harmony, spoke about a “moment of empowerment” that she experienced after working with WESST. WESST helped her embrace that she has what it takes to run her own business! By supporting WESST, you’re supporting entrepreneurs like Marisa, who want to achieve the American Dream.

Each year on #GivingTuesday, nonprofit organizations rally their supporters for a day of maximum impact. Following the retail events of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday provides an opportunity for people worldwide to support what matters most to them.

On Tuesday, December 1, 2020, we invite you to join WESST and support our work with New Mexico’s entrepreneurs with your charitable gift! Here are a few ways to give:

  • Donate through our secure online form with your credit card! Click here. Send a check to our Albuquerque address: 609 Broadway Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
  • Many companies like PNM and US Bank match their employees’ contributions! Check with your HR department to see if your company offers a matching gift opportunity.

If you have any questions about supporting WESST with your generous contribution, please contact Katie Knipe, VP of Development at 505-246-6935 or kknipe@wesst.org.

Join us on Wednesday, 12/2 at 4:30 for a virtual Happy ½ Hour! If you’d like to learn more about the impact of your support and meet one of WESST’s Roswell clients, Jennifer Moreno, this is the perfect event for you. Contact Katie to learn more!
