Staff Spotlight: C. Sandro Tonini

By Lorena Schott | December 10, 2020

In our last blog of 2020, we are delighted to introduce you to Sandro Tonini. Sandro came to WESST at the beginning of September as the new Bilingual Business Consultant and Trainer for Albuquerque, NM. Sandro will be conducting training and consulting with Spanish speaking business owners impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic. He is happy to help make their visions a reality by guiding and advising them on their business and connecting them with available resources.  Welcome aboard Sandro!

What made you want to come to work for WESST?

WESST’s mission is closely aligned with my personal and professional beliefs, this is what compelled me to apply, but what sealed the deal was meeting Margarita Guarin and Zoe Otero-Martinez during my first interview and feeling the energy, passion, and compassion they had about their jobs.

What was your very first job?

In high school I used to clean houses with my mom, but my first paycheck came from Jiffy Lube where I washed windows and vacuumed cars during the Summers, weekends, and after school. It was a really fun job with a lot of colorful characters who taught me a lot about cars and life.

What’s your favorite part of working here?

It is really fulfilling to pass on the knowledge I have gained and to see others learn and apply that knowledge to improve themselves and their businesses. I enjoy knowing I am educating and thereby preventing someone from making costly mistakes. Rubbing shoulders with people who have such deep diverse backgrounds and choose to serve is really inspiring.

What do you do when you’re not working?

I am currently in school, so when I am not working I am doing school work. When I do get free time I enjoy cooking new recipes I find online and camping.

What do you wish people knew about WESST?

How versatile and capable we are at finding solutions and providing guidance no matter where they are with their business. Signing up with WESST is like having a consulting Swiss Army knife.
