Sonoma Acupuncture

Updated: Oct 11

Dr. Janet Quintanilla is the owner of Sonoma Acupuncture in Las Cruces. Her story is a powerful example of what support, passion, and purpose can create. When Janet first came to WESST, she had two goals: to build a life of financial security for her and her son, and to share her gift of healing through natural, holistic care. With a Doctor of Acupuncture license and a few years of practice under her belt, she knew she was ready to venture out on her own, but like so many, she wasn’t sure where to start.

Armed with some savings, Janet turned to WESST and in her first consultation with our team she shared her vision and, together, we mapped out the path ahead. Through business planning, financial projections, and strategy sessions, she began to see not just the possibility of owning a business, but the power of financial freedom.

She tapped into national networks of acupuncturists, developed her own methodology, and created a practice rooted in her deep belief: that natural and holistic care should be the first step in healing chronic illness. Over the years, Janet has grown her business steadily and intentionally, on her own terms, and is now in her sixth year of business.  Click here to check out her third local TV commercial.

Sonoma Acupuncture is more than just a wellness center; it is a thriving, respected part of the Las Cruces community. In 2022, Janet was able to purchase the office space she now occupies. She sets her own schedule and continues to provide for her family, with the balance and purpose she once only dreamed of as a possibility. Her story is a testament to the power of entrepreneurship, and what can happen when vision meets support.
