Thank You for Supporting WESST, Sunny505!

By Katie Knipe | March 11, 2022

If you’ve ever received an annual report from WESST or visited our website, you’ve probably noticed the beautiful, compelling designs that characterize WESST’s brand. More recently, you might have seen WESST on television! Across the state, we have been broadcasting commercials that share stories of the small business clients we have served in an effort to promote WESST’s supportive services. This is all thanks to our long-time partner, award-winning branding and design agency, Sunny505.

In 1990, Joanie Griffin approached WESST in search of support when starting her first marketing consultation business. Since then, Joanie has grown Sunny505 into New Mexico’s 5th-largest woman-owned business. Along the way, Sunny505 has supported numerous businesses and local nonprofit organizations by providing affordable public relations, branding, website design, social media, print design and video production services. WESST is so proud to be part of Sunny505’s story, and even more grateful for the role they have played in our success. Over the years, Sunny505 has donated marketing, printing and design services, sponsored WESST’s fundraising events, joined our founding Visionary Circle members, donated to our annual fund and even their staff is among our most dedicated raffle ticket buyers! In 2021 Sunny505 completely redesigned WESST’s website to give it a more intuitive interface and modern feel.

Currently, Sunny505 is partnering with WESST on the implementation of a multi-channel statewide marketing campaign. Women’s Business Centers across the nation received CARES Act funding to promote and deliver our services to small business owners who were disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. Sunny505 took the time to get to know the unique marketing needs of each of WESST’s 6 regional offices and designed a special region-specific strategy to help us spread our message as effectively as possible.

Thank you, Sunny505, for all that you have done to generously support WESST over the years. Joanie Griffin, Sunny505’s fearless leader, once told us “I feel like I owe my success to WESST.” The feeling goes both ways, Joanie! Sunny505 is also among WESST’s Circle of Visionaries. WESST’s talented Digital Media Studio Manager, Tom Ragan, visited each of WESST’s 6 regional locations to film our small business clients and capture their compelling stories of how WESST supported their success. Tom created the beautiful commercials you may have seen on TV! Click on the image below to see a video of one of our Las Cruces clients, Full Circle Mushrooms.
