In his twenties, Luis Quinonez started an internet company called MundoNet, working

with businesses like the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce to establish their online presence. He was introduced to WESST shortly after its inception through the Chamber, and he saw, firsthand, how many small businesses benefited from WESST’s resources, from lending to technical assistance.

When Luis was a college student, he remembers learning how the internet would transform how taxes would be completed and submitted, ultimately digitizing the entire process. His company, Advantis Group, specializes in accounting services, and, like so many small businesses, it has adapted overtime to serve the community. In 2023, Luis came to WESST for working capital and funding to update software systems for his business, Advantis Group, Co.

WESST assisted Luis in packing his initial loan request, structuring it in a way that was manageable and aligned with his business’ cash flow. “Receiving that loan allowed me to level up my business – similar to when taxes transitioned to digital filing. It helped us stay competitive in the market, improve staff efficiency, and expand our capacity to serve more clients.”  Since then, he has received and successfully paid off two additional loans. “Beyond lending, WESST has provided guidance in marketing and advertising strategies to help my business grow and reach its full potential,” says Luis.

The resources WESST provides are positioned to support entrepreneurs in virtually any industry. Their combination of capital access, technical assistance, and strategic guidance makes them an invaluable partner for small business owners who are serious about growing and sustaining their businesses.
