Frank Sanchez has been the owner of Mr. Teez since November 2017. His screen-printing business was established on the basis of providing exceptional customer service, and their goal has always been to ensure our customers love their products. They are proud to support Gallup and the surrounding areas with their graphic design needs.
During the COVID pandemic, like so many other small businesses, Mr. Teez faced some difficult challenges. They had to lay off their entire screen-printing team and then figure out how to survive as a business. It quickly became obvious they could not run a traditional screen-printing shop without additional help, which they could not afford at the time. They pivoted and embraced a new technique, Direct to Film (DTF) printing and have been pioneers in this printing style ever since. Mr. Teez went from a single, DIY built printer, producing one print every five minutes, to evolving and expanding to three industrial models, producing thousands of prints per day.
Frank and his team connected with WESST through the New Mexico Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NM MEP). "The collaboration has been incredibly valuable to us as a growing manufacturer," says Frank.
We really needed assistance with managing our business growth, and WESST was instrumental in walking us through the organizational strategies we needed to implement. From helping us conduct SWOT analyses, providing information on grant opportunities, to reviewing best accounting practices, WESST was there.
Mr. Teez was recently named the 2026 SBA Manufacturing Small Business of the Year in New Mexico.
