When Veronica Fuller’s former boss was selling her wholesale product business, Sandia Pet Products, she came to WESST after a referral from a friend to explore her options. At the time, she didn’t have the funds to purchase the business, but through consulting and training, WESST and Veronica worked together to realize her path to entrepreneurship.
Veronica’s main challenge was accessing the capital she needed to purchase the purchase. Through WESST, she received a loan to purchase the machinery to make her production faster and more efficient. She has also faced challenges with marketing but continues to participate in WESST trainings to enhance her services and improve her website. These trainings and continued consultations have helped Veronica better understand her business finances and how to manage operations.
In 2024, she was a featured panelist during WESST’s Women in Manufacturing Open House forum These opportunities have helped her network and connect with other small business owners. Sandia Pet Products continues to focus on its wholesale business, specializing in dog collars and leashes. Veronica’s business is an exclusive manufacturer of pet products for the New Mexico Lobos and the NM United soccer team.
