Splash Mobile Grooming

Samantha Blanton always had a passion for animals, and after years of working in the pet industry, she realized there was a growing demand for more convenient grooming services.  In 2024, she opened Splash Mobile Grooming, a mobile dog grooming service operating in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. Their business model emphasizes convenience for busy pet owners and a low-stress grooming experience for pets, especially those that may have anxiety in traditional grooming settings. 

One of the biggest challenges she initially faced was building up her client base, as she was new to the mobile grooming business.  Learning to manage operations, market effectively, and handle financial aspects of the business, like sales tax calculations, were also hurdles. 

With the help of WESST’s Patty Sipe, Samantha was able to focus on targeted marketing strategies, developing a reliable scheduling system, and learning stronger financial management techniques. Splash Mobile Grooming has brought convenience and care to pet owners across Albuquerque and Rio Rancho.  Samantha is excited to continue to grow her business, build stronger relationships with her clients, and expand the range of services she offers.  “I feel fortunate to pursue my passion and make a positive impact on the community,” said Samantha.
