In 2025, Solomon Gbara first learned about WESST through Jordan Tate, owner of Creative Duke and WESST Incubator member. Solomon was interested in learning more about credit, who to speak to, and was referred to Melissa, WESST’s Loan Operations Officer.

As a UNM college student and young entrepreneur building his own business, ValidSync, Solomon wanted help in establishing an LLC and taking care of his credit. He was able to successfully set up his LLC with the assistance of our former Rio Rancho team and then began the work on improving his credit with Melissa.

Together, they worked to dive deep into credit, developing realistic strategies to build Solomon’s credit, walking through credit reports, and learning about the impact of credit. He was entering his senior year at UNM and planning an international study abroad program, earning a place at the European Innovation Academy (EIA) in Rome, and wanted to ensure his credit was in a good place before traveling for the program.

WESST has been an incredible resource for my financial education. I had been trying to find someone for weeks to answer my credit questions, and when I finally connected with Melissa at WESST, the consultation was exactly what I needed to make informed financial decisions for both my immediate travel needs and my long-term goals as an entrepreneur working on my startup, Valid Sync.

Solomon is scheduled to graduate in the spring of 2026 from the University of Mexico with a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a concentration in entrepreneurship. He continues to work on his startup, ValidSync, an AI platform that verifies contractor licenses and insurance in real time.
